Visual Arts

​The BCSIS art and music program empowers students’ positive partnership with their creative selves by encouraging expression through experience. In the earlier grades, students build foundational skills, working with beat and rhythm through storytelling, instrumental exploration, and movement. The musical experience is paralleled in the visual art classroom, learning basic techniques and mediums through artist studies, varying cultural inspiration, and illustrations. In the older grades, students mature their skills in both art and music through process-based visual art projects, multifaceted musical performances, and improvisation.
