Program Overview

As a kindergarten through 5th grade public focus school, we are held accountable to the standards and achievement goals for the Boulder Valley School District. Our students and families benefit from the wealth of special services and resources offered through the district.

Class size is maintained at approximately 23:1 for K, 25:1 for 1st, 26:1 for 2/3 and 28:1 for 4/5. The classroom teachers integrate art, music, and movement into their curriculum throughout the school day. 

For instructional practices and curriculum content, our school draws from several educational models: arts integration, Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligence theory, integrated curriculum (integrated day), Waldorf, and the BVSD standards. However, the educational model that is most prevalent in our program is arts integration.
